I picked up a new baby CL on Sunday and it turns out he has white spot. He is no more then 2 inches long. I also picked up another CL from the same tank at the LSF about 2 weeks ago and the one i got first is not showing and signs of white spot. Both baby clowns are acting fine and are in with 3 clowns i have had for 2 yrs and are around 4 inches, happy and healthy. Is it best that i treat it with salt? if so what is the dosage? and is rock salt ok to use? my tank is 500 liters. The clowns share the tank with and Oscar, severum, chocolate, BGK, blue acara, silver dollars, redtail shark and a bristlenose.
By the way the new CL both have odd markings which is really cool.

a member of another forum recommended that i just raise the temp to 86f and just use heat to kill the white spot, what are u guys thoughts on this method?

my clowns got white spot [whole display tank actually] and 6 died. [theres 2 in qt, 4 in growout, and 3 more huge ones in seperate qt, if I lose them, I WILL suck a tailpipe]. I added a festae about 12 days earlier. I think they were over fed, which caused stress. My point is, how on earth did they all die. It's never happened to me before.

what would you say the average success rate is for curing clown loaches with white spot by treating in the first 36 hours? [what treatment? I prefer quinine + salt]
