new columbian tegu

So yesterday my new tegu arrived here's a pic of him. I think he might be a little feisty I opened up the box and he had ripped through the bag and was just chilling in the newspaper haha.

They're probably my favorite tegu lookswise, they don't get the huge jowls. Shame they're not more friendly. Cool!

What size enclosure is he in? I hope you get some substrate because these guys love to dig.

He didn't have any substrate in there when I took the pic because I had him shipped to my work only brought uv heat hide thing and water. Right now he's in a 75 with a lot of cypress mulch while I build an enclosure or buy a vision enclosure.

Very good to hear. it would be nice if we could see a pic of the setup. I suggest building your own enclosure. It is sooooo much cheaper than buying vision cages and there are plenty of simple plans online to follow.

Looking good. Nice set up. This much substrate gives him lots of security.
My Colombian is too outrageous to handle. Nails from hell.
But they sure are stunningly handsome.
