Well for the past two months I had been negotiating with this english fellow from Great britian and he contacted me through aquabid for a Flowerhorn that i had for sale so the deal was that he was gonna send me a check for $2300 dollars and I was going to send the rest which was $1900 to his transhipper in africa so that he could pick up the fish afterwards even though i felt something fishy about the whole deal i went along with it only because I had nothing to lose and I was about to sell a flowerhorn for $300 so I went to one of the associates at my bank and asked her to verify the check for me and she got back at me 3 days later saying that the check account number was ligit so i deposited the check and for the past week this guy has been bugging the crap outta me to send the money so finally today i got a letter in the mail from my bank stating that the check was a counterfeit so just a warning to anybody that sells on aquabid to beware of this guy He told me his name was Larry Menton but that is most likely a lie Im gonna let aquabid know so maybe they'll post a warning on their site. Man im tired of all these idiot cons tainting the hobby but oh well maybe it just teaches us all a lesson to look out for guys like these.

ya always gotta be carefull, happeed to me a whilee ago. i got a atf on aquabid and long storyy short e said e lost power an it diedd an e was scared to tell me or somethig and then said he shiped it. awwww it was a mess. ut good on you and thank you for leting us know. ty
Man there is scammers everywhere in every walk of life, that is why when I find someone trust worthy I stick with them. Thats why I like MFK so much cause most everyone on here is pretty solid.
