I just aquired some wild caught cr.lenticulata 2 weeks ago from afishionados and I still haven't seen them eat a thing. They are in an established 450 gallon aquarium with other cichlids and some arowanas. I have tried pellets, tilapia, shrimp, krill, scallops and a few feeders.

Does anybody have any suggestions at this time?

I had some lents before and I got two out of 4 to eat pellets and the other two ate shrimp.tilapia, scallops and such. But I can't seem to get these ones to eat anything. How long should I wait until I should start to worry.

i also bought a lent about 2 weeks ago and did not get him to feed until the 9th day. While i did not try the tilapia, shrimp, or scallops, i did try all your other previously mentioned foods, as well as super worms since they sink, with no success. The only way i got mine to feed was a new method for me all together and a bit strange. I tore the tail off a rosy red to inhibit its swimming. i then fed my other community cichs and aro to keep them occupied while i placed the rosy red with a pair of feeding tongs directly into the lents cave. it swam for about 1.5 sec then was dinner. I just tried again tonite, this time drying out the rosy red a little with a towel to "stun" the prey along with ripping the tail, and success yet again. give it a go!
