Looks like an older specimen, give him some time to adjust to his new environment.

I'm not a miss fan, but that's a good looking fish! I am sure he will settle in.
Dogs are the same way; most won't eat until they are comfortable. Part of that is getting used to you and your presence, too.
Love is a big umbrella with many definitions that all mean the same thing. Show that fish your love the way a good fish keeper should, and he will eat like a champ before you know it!

I agree give him a week at least to settle in. If he still isn't eating try crushing up some fresh garlic and soaking the pellets in it, also put a little in the water right before feeding. Appetite stimulant

Keep in mind a large healthy fish can go for a long time without food, weeks no problem. I’d probably wait a couple days then try again. Just try a small amount every couple days or so.

..... and see if you can find out what it was eating prior to your picking him up. He looks like he could easily go a couple weeks without eating. lol

I had a huge midas I purchased go something like two months w/out ever seeing him eat - and he didn't look skinny at all in the end. Coincidentally, he tried to kill everyone, so I had him blocked off in a small area, not too much bigger than the 18" by 18" approx. cube it looks like your guy is in. I'd give him a little more space, if doable, and a pot to hide in/feel comfortable. Eventually he will come around.
