I was rather dissapointed with the Reptile Expo this year. Seems that there were more snakes than anything else and I was really hoping to find some decent basilisks or water dragons to put in my 6' X 2' enclosure that has been sitting empty for a couple months.
SOOOO...I ended up with a juvinile Bearded Dragon. Not sure why I haven't gotten one before. THEY"RE AWESOME!
Here's pictures of the little guy. :)

very nice beardie:) . i dont want to take over your thread, but did they have any ackie monitors there?

Not sure if they did or not. The only monitors I noticed were baby savannah and water monitors, plus a COUPLE of adult tegus.
Like I said before, I was rather dissapointed with the lizard selection.

nice finally pics ive been waiting

do BD's eat crickets? i was thinking about getting one. where do they come from?

They come from down under, and yea you can use crickets as a staple diet food. They also have a new product called phoneix worms which are supposed to have so much calcium that you dont even need to dust them with vitamins.

figured I'd throw in a pic of the cage as it is currently set up.
what you don't see in the pic is the dual-bulb flourescent UVB fixture, and the undertank heating element,
Heating that large cage is not much of a problem as I keep the whole room around 80.
It's amazing how a 1' lizard can make full use of a 6' X 2' enclosure. MAN bearies can move when they want to. This little guy is spunky.
Sorry for the blurriness, It's rather difficult for me to get good cage shots without opening the door. The camera seems to focus on the plexiglass rather easily.
