I was picking up some food yesterday at a local higher end shop and grabbed a nice Red Tailed Barracuda.....This guy is chunky and about 5.5". So far he is a nice swimming partner for my Pink tailed Chalceus which is similar sized. Check it out.!IMG_0179.jpg CUDA2.jpgIMG_0184.jpg CUDA1.jpgIMG_0178.jpg Ptc.jpg

The Cuda took frozen krill less than 2 hours after acclimation.....So much for being tough to get off live!!

I think that is a Brycon not a Cuda.

could be.....the pics on internet show both fish under both names.....they are easily confused i guess. More opinions?? the black spot on the tail looks different.....scales too. i know there are many Brycon species though

Nice brycon dentex.

Nice brycon dentex.
Are you sure its not Bycron Alburnus? Either way a cool fish. i just hope it is not too aggressive. i thought I was buying a Red Tailed Cuda and they are fairly mellow. So far so good....the PTChalceus is holding it own. It leaves everyone else alone.
