Got a beautiful 5” Hoplias curupira on Tuesday. The initial plan was to attempt to comm it in my 125g black bar silver dollar/bichir setup but a few of the bigger bichirs were relentlessly bothering it so he’s been moved to a cycled 29 for the time being. I’ll attempt reintroducing it once he’s put on a couple inches and can hold his own with the bichirs. So far it hasn’t show any interest in food. I’ve tried raw shrimp, raw fish, bloodworms, and even feeders but it’s remained in in hiding spot most of the day. At this point I’m not too worried but don’t have any prior experience with wolves. How long can a small one like that go before I need to worry about it not eating?

Agreed. Mine took a few days to settle. I fed night crawlers and fattened it up and it quickly started taking pellets
