Ok well I picked up that AT, right now it is a little skittish as expected all I can say is it is A LOT faster then I gave it credit for lol...

my question(s) is right now it is hiding and just watches from its hiding spot (actually 3 he like to evict the others from time time lol) and I was wonder how long should it be before he swims out in the open and when do you think I should try and feed him, I picked up some beef heart but I would like to get him on to Hikari Gold pellets would that be feasible? oh what is the best way to feed beef heart?

I asked for blood worms but they were all sold out so I just got the beef heart...

Beefheart is a good source of protein but a little on the fatty side. Feed frozen in cubes so it floats or you can defrostif your dat wont come out. Its possible to train your AT to eat pellets. Mine eats anything. Use dither fish like archers or aros. Worked for me. Good luck

Thanks for the info J!!! :D

Having other fish in the tank always helps a little. I took my dats about 2-3 weeks to get more comfortable and swim out into the open. I mean they still hide now, but when I come near the tank now, the come out and expect me to feed them. lol.

Else - got mine eating market shrimp. My dats love that stuff. I just take off the tail, just as a precaution.

ok thanks for the info Jen :D
