New Dats!!

I just got 2 new 3in. widebars from my lfs for $15!! I brought them home and was feeding my other fish some beefheart mixture and frozen bloodworms and to my happy surprise the dats sucked it up like candy. Is this weird for them to take non-living prey so quick. The guy at the shop said they were on feeders only?

I found that my Indo dat quickly switched to frozen foods when he saw other fish greedily eating them. I wouldn't be concerned that they made the switch so quickly, I'd be ecstatic. And $15 was truly a steal.
