i liek the black gravel better. However i'd also take out that blue glass ornament and some of those colourful glass stones to the right. But thats just me. :D

Black gravel looks a lot better IMO. That arow looks a little tight in that tank. Is that a 55 gallon?

:iagree: It will sharpen the look even more :D

It's more for matching the decoration in the room then anything else....not going for the all-natural look really.:grinno:
I took the glass out and added a few more stones...and I do like it better. New pics later.

Black substrate is really nice. Personally I prefer black sand, but thats just me.

How big is that tank? Do you have plans for a bigger one soon?

I have two tanks with black gravel and I love the look, especially with a black bkgd.
Only downside is that when the enamel starts to chip with age it really shows up & looks like crap.

That my friends, is an overstocked 55 gallon....yes, I am that guy right now. :screwy:
I live in an apartment on the top floor until I get married this summer, then I will set up a 180. I lucked out and my friend has one sitting empty in his garage that his in-laws left him when they moved. I still have to buy a couple filters and lights. I hope my arowana can wait to move.. I don't want to give him away:(
