new decors

got some new decorations. i added a fake plant and a real plant, which my eel likes a lot. i have a rock, real drift wood, along with a sponge filter being shipped to me soon. i like the after a lot better, plus with the stuff comming in it'll look even better.

oh ya and i added that bubbly thing.

i also ordered instant cycling stuff but i never heard of it before. its from dr. foster smith, and they replaced bio spira with it... anyone ever use it? i'll get the name later i dunno it off the top of my head

I think the cycle-starter you ordered may be "Dr. Timm's One and Only Nitrifying Bacteria". I've used it on my a few 10G and my 55G. It's not "instant", but my water params were rock-solid (A0, N0, N<5) after a little more than 24 hrs- they remain so today, about 6-7 mos. later.

Be sure to add most or all of your fish right after using the stuff.

sounds like it would be about the same as biospira.. about 24 hrs and its all good to go. i personally pour it right into my filter...
