First off i would just like to thank the users in this forum for all the great information and insite on aquarium set-ups and filtering. Although I have my aquarium set up for a Red Ear slider the information on these forums have been incredible and very helpful to me.
But back to my original reason for starting this thread, today i made an overflow from the plans i got off this site today for my sump. It works perfectly! I constructed it from 1 inch pvc piping and have it in my 55 gallon tank. I also today put sand in the tank and im still waiting for it to settle a bit but here's some pictures of it so far.
Again, thanks alot for your help!

but really it looks good and I would just add some type of screen to the drain inlet so nothing to big gets in there and stops the drain up. Cause if it does then the bucket will get drained and the pump will burn up.
