i need a syphon break as when i tested it in case power goes out it syphon's out the outlet tube. Any ideas?

Drill a 1/8'' hole a inch or two below the water line.

i have a bulkhead in the bottom of the pond (see large pvc pipe) with a valve (for waterchanges) that is feeding a wet dry underneath the pond. It is rigged to where when i do waterchanges i just flip 3 valves.
