Nope, good price. Hard to tell if its a female or male. Pic tells me its a female but I've had males change colour around that size after I thought it was a female. Baby looks of good quality too....no long beak nose. Nice pick up.
the things nuts just put him in and hes chasing a rt twice his size. Never had a cichlid this small this agg. Will he/she be blue then?
I got three different tanks Hes in a 30g then going to a 55g at 4inches, then 125g at 8'', then if its a male i will need a bigger tank and should have a 265 by winter.

It's a female, even a female will need larger then a 125 in the long run. They color up more and more as they grow.....generally I would say they color up around 4 inches or so. A female will not color up as much but still look good. A female will have more blue linage in the fins and face as apposed to solid blue you will see in males. There is no spotting on this Dovii......could be a stressed male at that size but from this pic I am certain it's a female.
ya i know female need bigger then 125g but it can be in that alittle longer. ty for all the advice. Hope she turns out good i always wanted one.
