new dovii

hey everyone i got a new male dovii last saturday and i was wondering how long it will take him to get used to his new tank. he is 11 inches long and i thought he would be aggressive. he swims around alot but hides when i open the lid to the tank. i hope he becomes real aggressive.

Do you have any substrate or decor in there? Expendable dithers? He's a dovi, he'll get used to things and come out soon enough, lol.

I've had my female for a year and she's 7"+ however she still constantly hides..

A 5.5" male.. I did have 5 Giant Danios for dithers but they didn't make it through one night.. she's brutal and will kill anything I put in the tank aside from the male, but once I come into view she's a chicken.

Are you around the tank alot? I find that if im around the tank alot and try and bug themas much as i can , theyll become glassbangers sooner or later
