New driftwood- locally found

WOW. Very nice what kind is it?

I don’t have the slightest idea. Found it after the recent rain storm with flooding, wedged on the side wall behind a small concrete dam.
 
All of my driftwood is stuff I found locally. It works great, just might take a while to sink. I usually drill a hole though a heavy piece of slate or rock then screw the rock to the bottom of the driftwood. Depending on the size of the wood it usually helps.
