Hey guys so I have a 100 gallon tank with a 4 inch tiger Oscar and three inch red spotted gold severum. I just got a electric blue Jack Dempsey but he’s only 1 inch in length. I’m worried about the Oscar trying to make him a late night snack till he grows a little bit. Would it be okay to place the Jack Dempsey in a 10 gallon tank by himself till he grows some or just hope for the best in the 100 gallon. There’s a ton of fake plants and three larger terra cotta pots, I’m just worried it won’t turn out well

I grew my ebj out for 9 months in a 20 gallon did 50% weekly water changes and fed twice a day and it grew quite quickly almost a year now and 4 plus inches an inch is quite small so may well end up as lunch.
