im a used car salesman and everytime im in a LFS im left scratching my head wondering if theres anything they wouldnt say to make a sale lol anyone i know getting into the hobby. never trust lfs, do your own HW before EVER buying something

It wasn't even to make a sale, we were talking after the fact. Thing was he knew how big they get and still thought a 100 gallon would be sufficient.

haha thats why i hate the guy that works at my lfs haha he's always telling me to buy fish that i dont want and are to big for my tanks, plus whenever he wants to know something about a fish he dosent know about he asks me because im the only guy around here that is acctually serious about keeping fish lol thats why my gf and i wanna start a lfs so we can acctually help people find the fish they like and can HOUSE!

After the fact or not...the LFS employee knows that he has "planted the seeds" in your brain...that you need what he says you need. This way (in one of your future visits)...you will purchase what he wants you to purchase.
