Swimmin' with the fishes
So as some of you saw, I went collecting 2 days ago. All the fish are swimming happily and healthy in their quarantine tank. One of the bass even ate a ghost shrimp!

But the reason for this post: I was playing with the cats with a laser pointer after lights out and I decided to shine it through the tank just to see if the fish would notice. Well, not only did one of the spotted bass attack the dot on the front wall, the other one attacked the dot on the back wall. 48 hours and they are eating and playing with lasers!! I couldn't be happier!

Lol that's funny glad they are working out for you. My fish act like there is a sniper on the roof whenever I would shine a lazer pointer in my big tank haha.

That must be hilarious! I can imagine fish playing president and every time they see it, they dog pile... well fish pile on one of them.

I've tried doing this with other fish and most don't even notice or simply ignore it. Every now and then one or two will come up and kinda look at it like "wtf is that?" and then get bored and swim away, but the bass actually attacked it! Like it was a bug or something!

Haha they are like cats I guess they just have the instinct to attack shiny things. My oscar actually gets really upset every time I used the pointer. Most of his color will drain and every time he sees the dot he is immediately under cover. He's like sniper get down!

Sounds like he was traumatized by a red dot at an early age....

Lol, I've never tried to use a laser pointer in a tank before, my cats pay no attention to them so I figured my fish wouldn't really care much either.
