Just like this. They came home yesterday 5pm. She was swimming, and seemed to be fine. Male runing all around. Today morning i was looking at them before taking kid to school and she was resting under a root, breathing well and moving disc every now and then. 20 minutes later i came home and she was death. What the hell happened????....
Water parameters are just fine, male still swimming around and eat well today. Anybody has a clue on it???????....experts told me sudden death due to stress was my best choice after doing water test and my results where OK.
They where in the same tank were my retics where, and retics are OK.......i just dont know what the F......K happened.

Thank in advance to all of you....

pH: mine 6,8 /previous 7,5
Acclimatized during 2,5 hours (dripping)
Those are not the first i work with (i have worked in public aquariums, and rays were under my responsability), and everything always run OK.
I think they could accumulate ammonia during the 4 hours trip.

Hystrix dont die due to ammonia.. They are hardcore rays.. My filters broke (the power was killed) one day and the and the ammonia went up to around 10 pmm.. But they dident die or anything.. I just changed the water so it went down to around 5 and hen fed them.. They did just fine.. :)

not sure, but i heard hystrix and retics have a 50/50 chance surviving... one of my buddies told me not to look for any cuz of the risk i had to take

Thats a big lie.. I had my pair of hysrix for almost 3 years.. And they are the most rays eays i´ve ever had..
rectis arent as hardy but 50/50 is BS big time.. My Lfs have had 50-60 in and he hasent lost any yet..
