New Female JD

Hi,
This fish was sold to me as a BGJD. I picked the one that I thought looked most like a female. I have had her for a month but I just finally got her to sit still long enough to take a pic with phone. She was about 2" when I brought her home and is close to 3.5" now. Anyways, I just wanted to know if you guys can look and confirm that it is a she and not a he. I'm not very experienced in sexing JDs.

Looks like a female but that spot on her tail makes me think she might not be 100%JD

Shape is a bit off too. Kind of like a Texas cichlid shape.

I'm pretty sure it is 100% JD but since I did not breed the fish then of course there is no way to confirm. So besides the tail spot, you think the body shape is off?

it's a perfectly normal young female JD... i don't see where the hybrid or male came from.

Nah, its the spangles on the face that make it female. The males have them everywhere BUT the face.

the blue smear on the gills says female to me, and she looks nice mine in female too
