my new little 3in female is really black after a day in my tank it looks really stressed but is swimming normal my water is fine got her yesterday just wondering if this is normal. i had others before and never had them all black for this long

They're all different. Some adjust fast and some slow. I just got a new fish last night and 10 minutes after I put him in the tank he was eating. Never had a fish do that for me.

She will be fine if shes not getting harassed by tank mates.

You need to start buying fish from better places. ;)

did you got a flowerhorn? post some picture bro

so is this normal for a new smaller flowerhorn to stay black like he's stressed out for a few days i never seen this before. i have seen it when other fish are going after it but not just hanging out in it's tank with no threat this female is almost all black.

No I did't. Amphilophus Lyonsi! Hes just really full of life! Swims everywhere! Does have a few stress bars but acts really well! Very impressed with him.

Yeah seems rather normal for a new fish. Give her a few days and it'll come around. As long as shes not getting beat on. Report back when shes normal!
