new fh

okay guys so i just took a flowerhorn off of somebody i know as he no longer wanted it. its about 4inches, my question is....the tail off the fh has been chewed by a piranha in his tank will this grow back? anything i can do to help it along the way?

It depends on how deep the cut is. If it's only the fin, then there's a great chance that it's gonna grow back. But if a flesh is damaged, I don't think so.

if it just has a small bite taken out of it. yes it should heal just fine. now if it is chewed completely off. more then likely it won't grow entirely back and there is nothing you can do to help it grow back.
