I have a 75 gallon tank with 2 oscars and alrighty have a 75gal topfin hang on the back filter that has been working fine but i thought they should have more so I bought a aqua clear 70 filter to go with my old one and was wondering If I could just put it in the tank or if I have to let it run first

Also, if you want to switch it would be best to let them both run for a month or two to get the beneficial bacteria time to grow in the new filter before you remove the old one.

I've never done anything special to start a new filter on a tank, quick rinse of media that might be dusty-- in the directions for some filters-- then set it up and off it goes. New filter and media will gradually colonize with nitrifying microbes. Oscars need plenty of room and plenty of filtration. :)

How much filtration would anyone recommend please? I have a juwel Rio 450 with an fx5 a 1000e and an ehiem 224? Do I really need it all? The Oscars are 12” and 11”. Thanks in adavance

Ok well first off I suggest you upgrade your tank now or in the near future to both dilute waste and aggression and to provide more room for the fish. As for the filters, I'd also run both, but you'd likely have to clean them and do a lot of water changes as oscars are VERY dirty fish
