In order to help me cycle my new tank for my silver aro I hooked my brand new AC 110 up to my 55 gal growout to cycle the filter. My arowana has been in there for a few months and I have always fed him on the right side of the tank.
Well my 55 has had a penguin bio wheel on it for a while on the left side (which is why he likes eatiing on the right side of the tank.) Any ways I put the AC on the right side which is the only place it would fit and as you can imagie with that big of a filter on that small of a tank its really moving the water and it seems that my aro hates it.
Now his feeding area is all like currenty
if thats a word and he doesnt patrol the top anymore. I alsways hand feed him and he wont come close enough to the top to be fed. Hes always like an inch and a half down.
Now this is only temporary till I move him in like a week but i want him to eat and be happy til then. Will he get used to the filter?
is this normal?
