Just purchased an ehiem 2260, Below is what i am thinking of using for media. The one inch thick piece of foam first, followed by the polyester fiberfill (probably half of that bag) and finally as many of the potscrubbers as will fit. Does anyone see any problems with any of this stuff?

The tank has a good size wet/dry already on it for the bio filtration that is feed by built in overflows. I just want to add some filtration more towards the bottom of the tank and maybe polish the water a bit with the 2260.

For those that have used these 2260's how often do you take the top off and clean verses just backflow cleaning it? Here are a few tank shots also, just bought a new camera today (looks like i need to play with it some more to get good shots though).

Sounds like a good combo to me.

No problems here.

Looks go to me, I love that batting stuff. Cheap and pulls lots of junk out, I use it for my pond.

looks good for mech filtration. im using eheim 2260 too but not long enough to say anything about cleaning yet. also use the similar 2080 and i only clean that once every 4-5 months. i remove cover and gently wash the biomedia in tankwater.
