Well right now I just got my 100 gallon tank and I have 2 filter and I want to keep my water clear. Well my brother and I was working and thing what we should do. Well we came up with an idea thought it was good. Take a PVC pipe and fill it up with stuff. So we got to work and had all the tools from work. Got a 4'' pipe and took my wifes body scrubber, some scour pads, cheese cloth, carbon rocks, and SET IT UP!
Took the PVC pipe and started to drill holes where the water will suck in. After that I took my wifes body scrubber and cut it to make it long. Then I took cheese cloth to put carbon rocks in it. Then I started to cut the scour pads to make it fit in the PVC. After all this work I put it all together and came out pretty nice. Here is what I came up with.
Inside PVC: 1st layer: Scour Pads 2nd layer: Body Scrubbers 3rd: Scour Pads 4th: Cheese Cloth with Carbon rocks. And at the end of the PVC I got the butt cover and drilled a hole there. Then I used a 2'' tube and connect it to my Powerhead (350 GPH).
