I plan on getting a 180 gallon tank for rufus and want a good external filter for his tank. I was looking at the Fluval Fx5 canister filter. I know it is more powerful than i need for the tank but someday I hope to get a 300+ gallon tank for him so he can have some friends. Give me some feed back please.

fx5 is a great filter for a 180(you only have one fish in it)if so thats more than enough

thanks big fish and their tanks are new to me, I've had 20 gallon tanks before with small fish never a monster like a pacu.

An FX5 should be good for a while.
