Nice. I have the cf400 and has performed beautifully for 10 months. Super quiet. Don't run the carbon though. Carbon is good for removing tannis and meds. I would run some more bio-max and polishing pads.

Thanks for the info. Yeah for now I have to balance between water clarity and water cleansing. But I'm going to buy a fluval 406 when I get the money. And have one cleanse and one clarify.

Running 2 filters is always a good idea, especially for backup, I've heard stories of ppl going on vacation and coming home to a dead tank cuz the filter failed or shut off. And if u have 2 u can use one for mechanical filtration and one for bio filtration, I wouldn't suggest 2cans, id use an hob with ur aquatop, ac110 is great. I run fx5+ac110 combo and it rad.

I use the 400UV on my 55 gallon, and the 500UV on my 90 gallon. Water is crystal clear in both. The only thing I would caution you about is the elbow joint where the return valve attaches to the spray bar. Mine was loose from day one, and I knew it. Guess my fish bumped it hard one day because they came apart and the filter splashed about 30 gallons of water out of the tank before I caught it.

Aquatop customer service was excellent and the offered me the replacement part, but I fixed it myself with some plumbers tape and a stainless steel hose clamp. It's a deceptively strong filter for how quiet it runs, so make sure the parts fit together tightly.
