So i have been running an ac110, a Rena XP2 and a hydro Sponge V on a 75 Gal, without any issues. This morning I wake up to a puddle under the tank and a broken XP2.

Knowing I have to replace the filter, I was wondering what should I go with. I was thinking another AC110, but I'm open to suggestions.

Eheim 2217 is likely the last filter ill ever buy. I had all kinds before but after buying my first eheim, I wouldnt spend money on anything else

Eheim 2217 would compliment your ac110 perfectly. I have 2 2215's and they are over 10 years old:D

Its no a cheep fix. Called rena, they told me to replace it because the crack is in the pump housing.

my guess is that 2 Ac110 with double sponges plus the hydro V will be better then a canister and AC110. The 2 ac110 will cycle the tank 13 time per hour, and the sponge is an awesome bio filter.

I really would agree with the others on the Eheim 2217 + AC110 combo. I run this on my 72g bowfront and it does a great job.

either will work fine ...ac's are easier to maintain eheim's hold more bio ...:)

I run and AC500, now called the AC110 and a Fluval 406 on my 90 and it's a perfect combo IMO. So yeah, I agree with the other posters to go with an AC110 and a canister filter of your choice.

I personally enjoy the ease of cleaning the AC110 over my canister filter. I ran two AC110's on a 75 for years. It worked great.
