As i was going thru PetsMart i saw a few inch long bumblebee catfish and i had to have one. So i get one to go with my 2 pictus in my 30 gallon. My pictus are a plump 3.5 inches now and i figured they will try to eat him so i build him a little quaratine area in the tank at the top for him to grow a little before he joined the 2 pictus. So 5 minute, he jumps into the pictus tank, and i was right there so i saved him. So i put a top on it but left enough open for the flow from the filter. I take a shower come back and my cat is waiting for me at the door with my bumblebee. I sling the cat and the bumblebee and he swims in the pictus cats.

I hope they dont eat him but the area wasnt working out so i had to leave him in there...

(I am a numb to fish keeping. I do know that 2 pictus and a bumblebee cany live in a 30 for long. After christmas im getting a 75 gallon. I might get one more less than 12 inch catfish too. I think i have everything calculated, anyone disagree?)

Bumble bees stay small, I think like 3 inch max. Pictus I am unsure, but I know they dont grow very large. I think the bumble bee will be fine with the pictus. They wont eat him unless they can get their mouth over the fish. They may beat him up though. Keep an eye out for that, they may get territorial and beat him up. Try to make a little cave or some hiding spots.

Pictus stay relatively small 4-5"(i believe),bumble bee cats stay even smaller, they should be fine together.Pictus do tend to get aggressive at feeding time though.

Im sure its a south african but of those m not sure.. probably a microglanis iheringi. It survive the night and was out eating today in the day. So i think he is gonna be ok. Thanks for the help, oh and i named him Kamikaze.

Thanks for the id.

This fish is determined to kill itself! I saw him jump out AGAIN! Lucky enoght i saw him jump or else he would have died easily.. i put this mesh wire stuff around the back filter area so the water could pass and Kamikaze couldnt... any ideas why he keeps trying?
