Here's what I have/plan on getting:

5 Weather Loaches
5 Kuhli Loaches (plan for 1 more)
2 Starry Night Eels (will be about 10" long and little thinner than a pencil prob)
1 Flying Fox

8 Cherry Barbs
2 Glasscats (planning for 3-4 more)
3 Guppies (planning for 1 more)
3 ottocats (would love to have more...)

The tank is approx. 63 gallons with 9ish gallons worth of rock/wood/substrate and has a lower water level to help stave off jumpers.
Working water amount: About 52-55g.
Filtration: AquaClear 70 for filter, 1 bubbler, and the tank is 48"x22" footprint, as long and wide as I could find.

IS THIS STOCKLIST OKAY? If not, can it work for a few (2-3+) years until a bigger tank can be purchased?

I know that...But it's a LOT of fish for a small tank, especially considering it's not over-filtered.

Since when is a 50+ gallon tank small? For a home aquarium, I think that's decent-sized. And the filter is rated for up to 70 gallons.

I do 25-35% every week on average, I'm pretty thorough with gravel cleaning and there is a lot of plants. I plan on getting a lot more and trying to carpet certain areas.

Those fish are not cichlids.

Water parameter will tell you more than us. Just test the water. If you see non zero ammonia and nitrite, than your filter is too weak. If those are zero but nitrate is high, then do larger water changes.

I had my water tested at a pet store with their fancy-shmancy liquid test just yesterday (last day before a water change), and before a half dozen of the little guys went in. They said my levels are fine. Should I investigate "fine" to make sure fine=zero?

Also thanks for the chemical breakdown, I didn't know you could have different fixes for the various stages. Very cool to know.

Thanks!

Edit: I fully intend on adding a second smaller filter if I happen across one that uses the same media as the ones I already have. Could this replace the bubbler? (10-20g filter)
