So I just got some new fish- six red eyed tetras and a single rainbow shark. I gave them their first feeding of Omega One flakes but when i dropped them in none of them went after them. Luckily my filters current soaked them and washed them downwards so my tetras got to picking at them and ate almost everything XD. But my rainbow just sat and hid in the log : / any suggestions as how to get my shark some food before the tetras get at it?

get a sinking pellet or wafers.

will look into that but sinking not the problems- the flakes sink but the tetras get at them before the shark can get them, in fact shark doesnt even go for them

I think he (shark) actually just ate a little bit..maybe he was just not hungry or is the scrap-picking type

catfish pellets seem to work well

Maybe distract the tetras with some on the opposite side of the tank of the shark then try to sneek some to him.

And danio those platyapuses in your avatar are adorable. Yes it was off topic, but admit it. They're cute.

yes, yes they are, I am putting an article in my signature about them.

I will try the distracting thing with the pellets.. and they are soooooooooooo cute XD

You just got it...it will start eating soon. My carpintis wouldn't eat for almost 2 weeks.

wow i thought fish could only survive for a couple of days without foods, and no need for dots lol
