Well i was meant to sell all the fish i had to make way for some Juv. Pbass.....After getting rid of my other fish i seem to have taken a little detour and i'm lovin it so far :headbang2

I recently purchased a breeding colony(3m/4f) of large silver dollars(5.5"-8")
and
I also bought 5 Geo's(i think 4m/1f) between 4.5"-6".

After 2-3 days in the tank the female paired up with the biggest male and spawned. :headbang2

I also have my sailfin and common pleco's in the tank.

After buying the fish i bought 25kg of white sand and 25kg of light tan sand, mixed it together to get what you see in the pics.

I have some large river rocks, more driftwood and plants to add yet so i will update the thread along the way :)

Hope you like it!

Nice I just picked up 2 free Dollars yesterday with a free 55 :) I was planning on the free 55 but not the Dollars :) MY wife loved it :)

Awesome!

You don't wanna know how much i payed for 7 SD's and 5 Geo's, you'd have a heart attack
Even though here in Aus it was a bargain :D

$250! ssshhhh

Nice i like the combo.......with some big driftwood in there its gonna look really nice.............

Very nice, can't wait to see the updates.

Thanks for the comments guys!

I'm tossing up whether to strip the female in a few days or leave her in the main tank or move her to a grow out tank with the babies....

I got my first glimps of the fry the other night, i think starvation got the better of her... i fed the fish and she rushed over and opened her mouth... all the little rigglers fell out and sunk to the bottom, then it was a mad rush for her to pick them up before the other fish ate them

I'll get pics when i can of the fry...

nice tank...i like the clean look of it.
