I picked up some new fish I ordered on-line and they came in. I got some tyrannochromis Macrostoma, some Protomelas tangerine tigers, and a placidachromis Makonde blk,. yellow fin electra. I also found a Fusco at the LFS. I'm pretty happy to add these species to my tank. Anyone have these or know about them? Any info. greatly appreciated.

Nice Pick ups!

Now post some pics. so we can se these beauties!!

Nice stock - I got not alot to say but some are larger Haps need a large enuff. The Fusco might get a lil' nasty but then again any of them can. What size tank are they in?

I have a 75 gal. but as they grow I am going to a 125 gal., I also have some buccochromis Nototaenia, Fossochromis Rostratus,Deep Water Haps., and some Ch. Rhoadesii. I definitely will have to upgrade.

i have a buccochromis Nototaenia, Fossochromis Rostratus, and Deep Water Hap. They are huge and aren't full grown yet. They show a little aggression, but no fin nips, The tyrannochromis is another moster hap who will require alot of room when its full grown. My champ is only 6" and he races back and forth the whole length of the tank challenging anyone who stops him. I think you'll find yourself upgrading sooner than later, if you feed these fish properly and keep up with there tank maintenence.

Are you going for a all male setup?

So no one has any info. or experience with these fish? I know these fish get big and this is Monsterfishkeepers.com LOL

No one said they didn't have exp. w/ these fish. I said in my prior post not a lot to say other than ROOM. Your Haps have no special requirments other than space, good filtration, and clean water. I have 4 Protomelus species living with Tyranno, Nimbochromis, Placidochromis , and 12 other species of Haps - the care requirements are the same Long Large Tanks.

IMO - Rift lake Haps are some of the easiest fish to keep. Problems only seem to arise when breeding Haps are in the same tank as other species of Haps.

Kept a 12" Rostratus in a 6' 150g tank and it tried to kill everything.

Your fish are going to get big.
