New fish day for me (not a guessing thread)

Here is my latest baby monster. All i know is wolf fish anyone know the specific type? I love the way he colored up to match the gravel in his tank. He was a greyish black (matching the grevel in that tank) in the store, and is more of a brownish color now.

that right there is a hoplias rockious.. i have one too. i could have went in my back yard and found a rock that moves more then him im going to let my dorado pound on him for a couple more days then hes outta here.

Actually he moves around a fair amount i only use room light on his tank and he seems very comfortable swiming from 1 side of the tank to the other. But for sure he is noway as active as some of my other fish.

recently gave mine to a friend. very cool fish. they get vicious. put a power head in the tank maybe it'll swim around more.

Well for a fish that doesn't swim around much or is supposed to be so in active he was the exception to the rule. I came into my living room this morning to find him stuck to the floor. I have no idea how he got out of the tank. I even put a telephone book on the lid. This sux! RIP LOBO!!!

damn i agree that sucks! i found my crispy channa gachua after 2 days of wondering which fish ate him.. hope you get another one soon eh? try the rainbow wolf, aka Erythrinus erythrinus.. here's a pic link of this beauty.
