On the Rio Araguaia, I wish...
Hey, found a good lfs courtesy of fruitbats suggestions and boy am I glad I waited on some more online purchases. Picked up a 10" flagtail prochilodus, 6-7" Rotkeil Severum (discounted because their entire school of Rotkeils had mild fungus infections which they had already begun treatment and I really wanted one and know how to treat it), 1 Carapo Knife fish, and 1 Ornate Bichir. I'm going back in a few weeks to pick up 2 female Rotkeils to complete my group since I only got 1 today to make sure everything turns out. There are other random pics from the LFS store in a seperate thread I"ll post up tomorrow. It took all my will power not to purchase the gorgeous goldy pleco they had it was about 12" as well as a sweet Mbu that was originally from Rehoboth Aquatics although I'd rather get the same fish from him at about 1/2 the price it was going for at the lfs. Enjoy ~Trent

A few updated pics of the other fish as well

Nice

The fei feng is a little banged up right now because his stupid self lept out of the bucket and onto my den floor while i was trying to net him to put him into the tank....the Rotkeil is still coloring up after aclimating and also recovering from some body fungus and ultimately is going with the other 2 not yet purchased into the 240 as their permanent home. Here's another pic I"ll post some better pics tomorrow after everyone has had time to settle in ~Trent

The knife is eating like a fiend, fed them bloodworms last night and it went crazy. The LFS was the best/worst find in a while. My wallet suffered a great deal there last night and I was holding back as much as possible so I didn't blow all my cash there. Among other impressive fish were: female cobra pike 7", goldy pleco 12", scarlet pleco 12" and babies, 15" lima shovelnose, shoal of Rotkeil Severums, 2 clown knifes around 20-22", mbu puffer, carapo knife fish, lots of other higher end plecos, 8" fw flounder, lots of others. I took a few pics because I was so busy looking but next time, sometime in the next week, I'm going back and I'll take a bunch more ~Trent

Thanks for the complements!

Be sure to nab some of the female cobra!! I am still kickin myself for not pickin up the two cobras i saw in Nebraska...two 7" cobras for $50...haha....oh well.

That woulda been a steal, I asked if that one was for sale, it was in a display planted tank believe it or not with some smaller fish, (they are braver then I or dumber and don't realize the cobra is gonna wipe out the little guys) They said it wasn't for sale because they didn't want to tear the planted tank apart trying to catch it but that if they broke it down or re organized it that it would be. I will definately buy it if/when they do. Pics from the LFS should be up tonight around 7 or so after I get home from work ~Trent
