These are my 10 new mbuna cichlids, they are in an established 55g tank with 2 penguin 350's and a Maryland C-220 i believe (it was the up to 55g model)

I was wondering if i could possibly get a positive I.D. on the fish from ya'll (ever tho the pics are not so good), that would be great if possible!

Also just to double check, was i correct in thinking that 10-12 mbunas was the right number of fish for a 55g tank?

thanks in advance and i hope you injoy the pics.

2nd pic striped one in the middle is a Melanochromis auratus
3rd pic is a Labeotropheus fuelleborni (OB)
4th pic bottom is a Pseudotropheus socolofi
5th is same as the 2nd Melanochromis auratus
7th pic bottom is Metriaclima estherae (O)

I noticed the blue/purple w/black stripes is a female kenyi, could the fish in the first pic be a male kenyi ? Hard for me to tell, pic is a bit dark. Here is my male and female kenyi, use it to compare. These are a couple months old, the male is the yellow fish in the background, he is much more solid yellow now, he still has his vertical baring but only really displays it when stressed out. A male kenyi will have female blue/purple coloring until it matures then it morphes into the yellow colors.

^^^ i had bought that fish under the name of Cyno Afra

I do not think it is a male kenyi as the males they had in the tank with the females are already their orange type color even tho they are quite small.

I think the first pic is the afra. The one at the top of the4th is a juvenile or female Kenyi. Fish that is blury at the front of the second is a melanochromis joanjohnsoni, the fish in pic 6 is labidochromis perlmutt (looks to be packing or under nourished).
