Definitely a hap. But wow u paid $30 w/o not knowing what it is? Maybe prices in IL are higher in CA.
But seriously though, I saw the exact same fish at my LFS for $8 and i was very close to buying it. The white line on top of the head got my attention. Maybe some other members can ID this fish, i might come back and scoop it up.

edit: I was going through some hap profiles on c-f and this looks a lot like Otopharynx lithobates except the top is white vs. yellow.

If it's pure, I would say some sort of Copadichromis.
