So, after looking around for one for a while i finally found one for an acceptable price locally :headbang2 $40 for a 6"er.

i had prepared a large slurry of mysis shrimp, diced market shrimp, and diced silversides in order to sustain this fish.

but to my surprise, only 24 hours after its introduction to the tank he took a cut silverside on a skewer :headbang2and has since ate nearly an entire silverside over the past hour or so. hopefully he will continue to do so and make my job as a keeper a million times easier.

Nice, gluck!!!!!

I found a source for them here on Monster fish keepers but it is more than I am willing to spend right now. I have several ponds I could put them in once they get big but in my state a permit is needed to possess one. I have that permit but pet shops cannot sell them so I have to have one shipped in. I'd really like to have several, maybe next year....

Is that from 7 seas tropical fish? i also see an arow in there, i thought u need to keep them in cold water. Correct me if im wrong. Im probably thinking about sturgeon

yup. this is one of the ones from 7 seas.
naw, paddlefish range from 65 degree water in the winter to nearly 90 in the summer. i keep my tank at around 79 degrees. happy medium for both species
