I decided awhile back to dedicate a little more than 1/2 my garage to my fish room. It was a double door very basic garage. I sealed one door, insulated and drywalled it aslo. I also insulated and drywalled another wall. I added a 12K BTU porable AC unit...
Added a few extra wall sockets here and there. I made sure that I planned a little for the future in everything as well. This room will house my 220 (currently set up and running). The 29 Mantis tank, the 8 Ft. which I am in the process of staining the stand. I will replumb it this Fri., fill it and if no leaks at all I will start the filtration and cycle. I will also be putting a 150, and 2 - 75 Gallons. I will have a 33L that I will keep for feeders and probably a 20L for hospital. The 10 footer is put on hold for a little bit. I will have it by the end of this year or ealy next year. The dimensions are being changed to 10X36x30, or 10X40X30. I am too ashamed to post any pics until I get the rest of the crap cleaned up lol (I played public storage for a few people). Kinda funny , a fellow MFKer stopped bu and I let him peak in and he was like "where is the 8 footer?".... LOL, it was under a bunch of stuff "you see the end of it sticking out over there?" Hehe. Anyway, I hope to post some pics really soon, I will position my dek and computer in the middle of it all I think. I willl try to get some pics up this weekend if all goes well with the 8Ft.

Hhmmm....Computer and humidity...Hhmmm.

Come on, show us. I DARE you!

Hmmm, is that something I should rethink? I figure with the a/c (a dehumidifier) that I woudln't have any problem.....??? It is a lot of water.... It is kind of something I always wanted... Seriously though, should I think 2X about the humidity for the computer?

I moved my computer out of the fish room for that reason. But then my fish room expanded.

AHHHH MAN, this is horrible. :( Anyone else? I guess I can wait and see how bad the humidity is of course before I put the computere in there. Anyone else ever have the prob of humidty from the tanks messing with their comp.?

I wish I had a fish room. I'm clearing out my bedroom, but that doesn't cut it.
But then again, all I have now is a 10 gallon tank with zebras

Let's see some pics of your tank room then!

The computer fans move a lot of air thru the box (just check out the dust, now picture that as humidity).

I've had to scrap customers computers that were just kept by an open window here (same with a couple of copiers too).

If you try to compensate for high humidity by using a de-humidifier at a point the tanks just start feeding the de-humidifier. Cover tanks & sumps as much as possible (allowing for gas exchange).

Laptop and WiFi?

The tanks are all covered (well the 8 Footer doesn't have one yet, will have it made in a couple weeks or so).. The A/C has like a built in dehumid so it wasn't really my idea of purposely putting a dehumid. in there. Man this will put a damper on some things. My goal was to have my Armatus tank (8 ft.) right behind my desk. The 75s off the left, my gun safe right after the 75s and the 220 after the safe. The 10 Foot will be off to the right and I have no idea for the 150 .:(...
I think total it will be around 1400 Gallons. That is a lot I guess.
