ok, well i have never had a fish shipped to me before. mah question is how do i go about adjusting the fish to my tank??? any special requirements??? thanks in advance :grinno:

do i need to do anything different when fish are shipped rather than when i buy them at a lfs??

ok this is what ya do get an isolation tank set up treat him for diseases or ick if you see it keep the fish in the tank for 2 weeks by then something would of shown add some extra bacteria to water to keep his stress down good luck oh and what type of fish are you getting? pm me how it goes

Did you order it from that aquatic aquaculture store? I ordered a pickerel from them last fall. They were nice enough to send another because it died short after. Just be ready with some type of live feeders cause the one i had would only eat live foods, and have fungus treatment medicine because both of the two i had came with white fungus and that's the reason the first one died.

if it is big get it out of the water RIGHT when you open the bag as with big fish the water instantly turns toxic due to ammonia. It is safer putting it into different ph etc water than letting it sit in toxic water
