Hello, i just got a Aqueon 20 gallon fish kit, came with filter, heater, ect.
I am a a relatively experienced fish keeper, have been keeping tetras and other small fish in a 5 gallon tank on and off for the past 2 years.
I have quickrete play sand as the substrate, (its sand not concrete), and some plastic plants.

In my 5 gal tank i now have a cory and a danio both younger that 1 month

I am cycling through my new tank and in a few days i want to get fish, What Kind??
I was thinking maybe an anglefishs, cichlids (maybe), ples and some other bigger fish. I have 2 20 gallon filters in the tank right now cycling threw, along with a 100 watt heater soon to add another. I also want to eventually merge the fish from my smaller 5 gallon tank into the bigger one (is this possible) not to attached to the danio so... but would like to keep the cory. Also any tips for care, changes to the tank, need anymore info??? Thanks a ton!

I would get more corys there schooling fish and need to be in groups of atleast 3, five or more would be best though.

Also what method are you using to cycle your tank?

I had 2 angel fish, 2 german rams, a bunch of neons and some corys. Its all preference but don't buy anything thats going to grow big unless you plan on upgrading again soon. that means no oscars, no BGK's, stick with the small fish.

you can't go wrong with a breeding pair of dwarf cichlids. A nice planted tank would look cool. And shelldwellers are an insta-win! I don't know if you a 20L or 20H, but a 20L has so many possibilities I could write pages upon pages of possible combinations, but in the end it's whatever you want, AND even more importantly, what's available to you. I want to keep dwarf snakeheads, but they're illegal. Check the state restriction on what fish are legal and illegal in your area.

Another cool idea, which I've always wanted to pursue is to go into local lakes/rivers/streams and go net dipping and see what you come up with, then recreate their habitat in the tank and try to breed them, while also keeping a detailed journal.

BTW, I have a 20H laying around too and I also can't decide what to stock it with. I'm really leaning towards my last idea though. That, or a breeding tank for my breeding pair of Archocentrus multispinosus who can't successfully raise their fry in my main tank cause they always get picked off after hatching.
