New fish-True Parrot (H.psittacus)

Just got this today-about 7". Very pleased as never seen a true Parrot

cichlid (Hoplarchus psittacus) in shops before. Also picture of my Nandus nandus I got 3 weeks too-just got it to eat frozen prawn :headbang2Sorry if pics are too large

yes they are stunning, as bruce said i have seen quite a few pop up for sale lately, however they still fetch a high price...beautiful specimen you have
 
No dry food? Now thats useful information. Never kept them. Never would have thought they were fussy.
 
very nice fish, i definityl like those over those hybrid red ones haha but im not a cichlid fan, although i would pay for a niec azul =D

nice nandus nandus btw
are thosea ctive? i was thinking about having a tank with 1 of every dat minus widebars (too pricy), nandus nanuds, leaffish from different locations and maybe a snook cichlid, and maybe a nile perch but prolly not

If you mean are they always on the move then no. But its always on view and hovers mid-tank waiting to be fed. Would only eat live earthworms at first but now its on frozen prawn but will only eat this if I cut it long and thin like a worm :screwy:
