I picked this guy up at Petsmart today. He was in a tank with Firemouths and Green Terrors. I told the lady I was interested in the fish but the price was not listed. She talked to her manager and he said to sell it at the price of the closest looking fish in the tank. She said it looked like a Firemouth to her so I got him for $3.49 I think it is a Parachromis, possibly a Jag(which looked nothing like anyhing in the tank. He/she is approx. 2 long

What do you think?

The manager said it was in this tank probably because it was brought in a s one of these. I have never seen Jags at this Petsmart before and this was the only one today.

Probably is a Jag. Some of the stores carry them.

We have something like that in the petsmart that i work in. Their called manguenese(however you spell it) cichlids or something.

I want one but I read on the brief, very brief description about them that they get 12 inches, and the biggest tank I have is my 29 so yeah, lol I want one though, the color on them is incredible.

Same thing, Parachromis managuensis = jag. Well over 12" actually, 75G tank minimum for a female; an adult male would likely outgrow a 75. Cool fish though, if you've got the space.

Damn well maybe after i leave my parents house I can get a 100 gallon or 75 and get a jag, they look just so damn sweet.
