I'm having some trouble with brown algae in my 75 gallon tank, i was wondering what fish would eat the algae. I have a red tail black shark that it needs to get along with, as well as a fire eel, black ghost knife, opaline gouarmi, and other larger tetras.

History is made every day. This is truly amazing. just messin with you.

It means that the light is off too much. green algae means not enouf light brown algae means too much light.

Add an ancistrus catfish to your tank. It will clean up your algae problem in no time. Be sure to feed the ancistrus after the algae is gone.

No. Brown algae in the aquarium is most likely diatoms which is usually caused by low light, and too many silicates and phosphates in the water. Green algae is usually caused by an over abundance of light and nutrients. Otocinclus catfish will take care of brown algae, but I doubt they'd last long with your stock.
