Melanurus -- Lago Peten
Yellow Midas -- Lake Arenal, Costa Rica
Breidohri
Carpintis -- Rio Hondo

They're 4-5 inches from Dan at CoA. They're a little skittish, but they're all eating epsom soaked pellets.

Nice! What reason in particular do you use the Epsom soak for? I'm guessing a preventative for bloat and hex?

Carpintis looks awesome!

I saw stringy white poop on the Carpintis right after I got him in the tank, so I soaked some pellets in Epsom solution right then. The 125 they're in is a QT/growout tank. I was waiting for something like this. :)

So--white stringy poop--that's gotta be Hex right? Or is that a symptom for about 4-5 other diseases, too?

And what does everybody else do with new fish like this? I don't see them flashing or itching, so no on the Cupramine or Prazi-Pro, for now.

How does everybody get/use "Lavamizole" to de-worm new fish? Are they any symptoms of internal worms I need to look for?

I'll do a round of prazi if its a number of new fish, otherwise I look for signs before any treatment. Stringy poop is certainly a sign of hex, I thought it could be extreme stress like one would receive getting packaged and shipped. That said, I'm not sure where I came up with this idea.

Thanks y'all.

No, no salt at all in the tank. I looked for ich, can't see any yet, but the fish are still skittish and I can't get a long close look at their fins. I'm gonna order some Prazi. I do have Cupramine and a copper test kit, but I kinda save that for something serious.
