New fish

Yesterday I got a 2.5g tank and had it overnight with old tank water and plants and did a water change today and added a bottle of API betta water and while at the pet store I was looking if they had any platinum males but instead I found this guy and I had to have him. This guy was only 6.99$

Thank you. Tomorrow I’m getting a bit of small spider wood and and might add some floating guppy grass, is guppy grass toxic to bettas? I don’t know why but I think they are

guppy grass is not toxic to bettas just make sure that in a small tank like that it does not over grow and inhibit your bettas movement

I recommend some type of rock cave for him, my bettas have always liked having somewhere to hide.

Thank you. I just woke up and turned the light on and his colors are so much more vibrant now that he’s not in a tiny cup.

But enough room for anything like that sadly so instead I got a plant with lots of big wide leaves for him to lay on and take shelter in. They also help dim the lights

What kind though? Floating guppy grass is what I was thinking.
