I'm moving out of my parents house, and getting my own apartment. Best thing about that is I finally have some real space for my beloved hobby. I only have 2 tanks up and running right now, but in the next month I'm gonna set up a bunch more, start some breeding projects.

The Room
The room is windowless, but has AC and I'm also gonna install a fan. The room is 4m43cm x 4m15cm x 2m15cm (LWH), which is about 14'6" x 13'7" and the height is only about 7'.

Racks
I will be setting up racks for breeding. I found a great deal on racks, 6ft tall, and each shelf is 3ft x 16". I will be starting with only one rack, probably adding more with time. In the first rack I will put 3x or 4x 45G tanks with good filteration and good lighting.

Other tanks
Like I said, I only have 2 tanks set up at the moment. 125G (Inhabitants: Motoro ray, Pangasius catfish, convict cichlid pair). 10G (Inhabitants: Convict fry). I'm gonna set up 2x 65G tanks (not stacked in racks).

Breeding projects
I'm gonna start some breeding projects as soon as the tanks are up and running. Haven't really decided what to breed but here are some fish I'd like to try breeding someday:

Albino Longfin Bristlenose pleco
Zebra pleco
EBJD
Discus
Endler Guppies
Red Cherry Shrimp
South american dwarf cichlids

There are still no tanks in the room, as I haven't moved in just yet. I will keep you updated in this thread. Post pics of the fish I have, fish I buy and tanks I set up.

Last but not least, crappy pictures of the room.

The furniture will be removed, newer ones will be put in.

All advices are gladly accepted and this thread is open for all sorts of fish related discussion.

Drew this up in SketchUp, the 125g and the 2x65g are marked, the tank on the far right is a small 15g which will also be there. and also you can see the rack, just drew it as a big box to see about how much room it would take.

Sounds like a great project! Cant wait to see some pictures. What i would suggest to you, or any other fish keeper on this forum, is to accent the space around the tanks with plants. I was a monster plant keeper before fish keeper. My house is a jungle. I have 60+ exotic house plants of various varieties and sizes at the moment, and it looks phenomenal to put tanks in the heart of a wild looking arrangement . Really gives you an edge of realism. I have paintings in the arrangements too. I cant express how good it feels to live in a breathing house. The cats love it too :)
Just make sure you give them plenty of light, or choose plant that tolerate low lighting

Good luck!

A couple photos of the current inhabitants in the 125g.
